Nothing like the sound of 2 GP40's and 3 GP38's in notch 8 while hitting 50 mph across the diamonds at Blue Island. The Grand Trunk always put on a show coming through here.

Repainted GTW 6401 works the south end of Homewood Yard. I believe this is the only CN OLS unit, and it is a rare ex-DT&I GP40.

GTW 6401 leads 3 other units two of which are still in GTW blue and red, north seen just south of gaines with a 598 axle train.

CN Local 104 with the 6401 in the lead brings its train of intermodal cars into Moterm at Ferndale.

Ex-GTW GP40 6401 is now painted in an operation lifesaver scheme as witnessed in McComb, MS nearing the sanding tower with the old coaling tower in the background.
